Here you'll find all types of foot pain and foot problems explained, plus expert advice on effective remedies to help relieve aching feet and prevent further problems. You'll also find information about common conditions related to poor foot function, such as aching legs, shin splints, knee pain and low back pain. Learn about over-pronation (fallen arches) which affects 70% of the Australian population, and how Footlogics orthotics can assist.
Heel pain is the most common of all foot complaints. Find out exactly what causes heel pain and how to achieve lasting pain relief with orthotics and exercises in this 3-minute video "Heel Pain explained by a Podiatrist"

Research has shown that many foot complaints can be alleviated by wearing an orthotic shoe insert. Developed by European podiatrists, Footlogics orthotics support the arches and correct over-pronation - one of the major contributing causes of foot pain.

"The foot bone is connected to the leg bone, the leg bone is connected to the hip bone, the hip bone is connected to the back..."
Medical Research in the past 10 years has established a clear link between poor foot function and common conditions such as heel pain, knee pain and low back pain. An estimated 70% of the population suffer from over-pronation or rolling inwards of the feet and collapsing of the arches. Over-pronation is the major cause of heel pain, heel spurs, Plantar Fasciitis and many other types of foot pain. In addition, over-pronation can have a profound effect on the rest of our body, putting a lot of strain on the legs, knees and lower back. Footlogics orthotics greatly reduce over-pronation, thereby alleviating many common aches and pains, including knee and back pain.

Today foot orthotics are widely used in Australia. 20 years ago orthotics were only available from a Podiatrist who fits the orthotic device to the patient's foot, using a plaster cast. From this mould the Orthotist makes a so-called custom rigid orthotic.
Research has shown that not everyone needs a $400 hard custom-made orthotic. In fact, 80% of people who have flat feet, fallen arches or over-pronation will benefit from wearing pre-made "over the counter" orthotics, especially when suffering from heel pain or Plantar Fasciitis.
Footlogics orthotics are much softer than hard, rigid custom orthotics, yet provide sufficient biomechanical support to re-align the lower limb and to help alleviate many foot complaints, including heel pain, Metatarsalgia, Morton's Neuroma or tired, aching feet.
Anyone suffering from foot complaints, aching legs, knee or back pain will find some degree of relief by wearing an orthotic. The simple reason is that most of have fallen arches (or over-pronation) which contributes to not only foot pain but may result in a chain reaction of problems higher up in the body.
Orthotics are mostly used by people who spend long hours on their feet because of their job. Because of age the vast majority of the baby boomers have collapsed arches and will find orthotics very useful, greatly adding to their walking comfort.
For women who enjoy wearing heels, but not the discomfort associated with it, Footlogics now offers slim-line orthotic insoles that can be used in fashion shoes and high heels.
